Riding Lessons

January 16th & 23rd, 2005

Everyone who knows Abby knows her absolute love for horses.  We signed her up for "Fun With Horses" riding lessons for ages 3- 5.  They learn to care for the horse, saddle, ride, and feed.  She is having a blast :-)

Introduction to Franny, a Shetland Pony she had for her first class.	Abby learning about Grooming.  We used a curry comb, dandy brush and hoof pick.
Abby was getting very frustrated with the grooming part.  She was there to RIDE :-)

Start of Second Lesson 1/23/05 This week Abby was paired up with another little boy named Evan and their horse was named Aladdin	Both kids (parents) had to groom and saddle Aladdin before they could take turns riding.  While one rode, the other lead the horse around the ring.
Removing the saddle.  It feels like mom does most of the work yet Abby is the one who gets to ride!	We will take more pictures next week of her last Riding session and post later.
